Let's talk about the different ways to use oils

Aromatically- diffusing oils in the air is a great way to get the benefits from them. There are many different ways to diffuse. You can use a cool mist diffuser, diffuser necklaces, or simply inhale from the bottle or even a kleenex.

Topically- Putting essential oils  on your skin can help in many different ways. For aches and pains you can apply right where the issue is; for example, knees. Your feet have a lot of reflexology points on them and are a great place to put oils. When using topically make sure you are diluting. A 2% dilution rate is recommended in most cases.

Now let's talk internal uses. There is a lot of controversy about whether essential oils are safe to use internally or not. I believe that if you are going to use them that way that it needs to be with the care and advice from a certified aromatherapist that has studied them and knows the safe way to use them.

I will touch more on all of these in various blogs and videos on this website. If you have any concerns or questions please feel free to reach out to me here.

So what oils do I use and why?

Everywhere you look now it seems there is a new oil company popping up. So they all must be equal right? Wrong! After a few years of research and trying different oils myself I have learned that I prefer the quality and purity of doTERRA. I can see where they are sourced from, have had the opportunities to meet the growers, and have even felt the let down of not being able to purchase an oil because when tested the batch didn't meet doTERRA's standards and they wouldn't sell it. To me that was the kicker. They won't just sell any oil.

doTERRA is committed to  sourcing the best oils in the world , direct from the grower, through ethical sourcing practices and places great value on the expert knowledge of local farmers. This also helps set up communities and jobs for the farmers.

doTERRA tests each batch of essential oils by putting them through seven different testing procedures done by a third-party laboratory. These tests surpass USDA organic standards. If a batch of oils doesn't meet this standard then doTERRA won't sell it. You can even see the GC/MS reports for your bottle by typing in the code on the bottle here.

doTERRA is committed to making a positive difference in the lives of farmers, harvesters, and distillers who contribute to doTERRA’s oil production and making sure they are treated ethically.
